Blue Girl and the Burning Bushes is a Science-Fiction Circus Rave Opera about the Return of the Goddess.
Join us for a staged reading of this brand new libretto by Fertile Ground veteran Eliza Jane Schneider, along with some of her original electronic dance music, enhanced with fire dance and circus artistry from Ishani, Pele, Kellbyfox, and Achillea; real life Portland Goddesses.
Hosted and co-produced by Cirque Du' Soliel's clown, Mariano Di Yorio, the mastermind behind JaJa PDX Circus; you are invited to a night that is part ritual, part sound-healing musical journey, and part exploration of the feminine divine’s relevance today and humanity's relationship to our Mother Earth.
Be among the first to hear Schneider, best known for voicing the female population of Comedy Central’s South Park, read her new Libretto on stage, in multiple languages, enhanced with a little fire, a little bellydance, a little local aerial magic, and some surprise audience interaction.
